Composting plants –The Marius Pedersen Group also operates facilities for the recovery of bio-waste by composting. The same open-plan composting technology allows several cooperating composting plants to use common mobile machinery. The material brought to the composting plant is crushed and, according to the recipe, mixed into the bedding. These are dug up by a suspended compost digger. At the end of the process, the composted material leaves the process area and is sieved on the sieving equipment as required. The resulting product is subjected to chemical analyses and is successfully used in the reclamation of landfills.
Use of landfill gas – the so-called landfill gas is extracted from the landfill and then used as a fuel for electricity generation.
